12th ATP in European Union published, amending CLP to Revisions 6 and 7 of GHS
Mar 1929The European Union has published the 12th adaptation to technical progress (ATP) to the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures, better known as CLP. The ATP amends the CLP to follow the changes in the UN 6th and 7th biannual revision of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling (GHS), which appeared in 2015 and 2017. [More…]
Over 80% of chemical products non-compliant under EU rules for internet sales
Apr 1825If your company offers chemical products for sale on the internet, it's time to check your compliance status. A pilot enforcement project initated by the European Chemicals Agency checked 1314 internet advertisements, finding 1083 (82%) out of compliance with the requirements of the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation. Due to the high rate of non-compliance found, further inspections can be anticipated.
